We all want our children to start Year 11 feeling confident and prepared — but did you know that students can lose up to 40% of what they’ve learned over the summer holidays? Don’t just believe me…check ou the article in Forbes (see link in comments).

It’s called summer learning loss, and it’s more common than you might think. After working hard all year, many students return in September having forgotten key skills, especially in core subjects like Maths and English. And 40% is a lot. I’d be very happy if my boss offered me a 40% salary rise! Would you?

That’s why we’ve created the Year 10 Summer School a focused, friendly programme based at North Herts College in Stevenage.

It’s designed to refresh their learning from the past year and challenge any knowledge gaps they might have, so they don’t forget what they’ve learned — and instead get ahead of the crowd, hitting the ground running for Year 11!

Over one focused week, experienced, subject-specific teachers will help your child:

  • Identify and close learning gaps

  • Strengthen core GCSE skills in Maths and English

  • Build confidence in a small group setting (maximum 10 students per class)

  • Stay sharp over the summer — without the stress

And to celebrate their progress, students end the week with a go-karting and pizza trip at Teamworks!

With early bird discounts and flexible instalment plans, now is the perfect time to secure your child’s place.

Let’s make this summer count — so they don’t have to play catch-up in September.
