These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of The Year 10 Summer School's Website, located at https://year10summerschool.co.uk.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the participation of students in The Year 10 Summer School. By enrolling in the Programme, participants and their guardians agree to abide by these terms.
2. Application and Payment
Application Process: All applicants must complete the official application form sent to you by The Year 10 Summer School and provide accurate information.
Payment: Full payment of fees is required before 14 days of the start of the course.
Confirmation of a place in based upon the minimum deposit of £90 if agreed by paying in 3 instalments or the whole amount if not.
Currency: All payments must be made in GBP (£). Any currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the payer.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cooling-Off Period: Cancellations made before 7 days after purchasing but before 14 days of the start of the course are eligible for a full refund.
Non-Attendance: Failure to attend the Programme without prior cancellation does not entitle the participant to a refund.
If paying in 3 instalments, your deposit (£90)is a non refundable deposit.
All payments must be made before 7 days of the start of the course.
4. Programme Changes and Cancellations
The Year 10 Summer School reserves the right to make changes to the Programme schedule, content, or instructors as necessary.
In the unlikely event of Programme cancellation by The Year 10 Summer School , participants will receive a full refund of fees paid.
5. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to:
Attend all scheduled activities punctually.
Respect fellow participants, staff, and property.
Abide by the rules and regulations set forth by The Year 10 Summer School.
Prohibited behaviors include, but are not limited to:
Consumption or possession of alcohol or illegal substances.
Smoking on Programme premises.
Bullying, harassment, or any form of disruptive, rude or discriminating behavior.
Students are required to be supervised when on site at all times.
Students are limited to the specified classrooms, toilet facilities and foyer when supervised by a Year 10 Summer School staff member.
Violation of conduct rules may result in immediate dismissal from the Programme without refund.
If this is the case, parents will be communicated using the mobile number and asked to collect their child. A detailed written explanation will then be sent within 3 working days.
6. Health and Safety
Participants must inform The Year 10 Summer School of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements prior to the start of the Programme.
In case of illness or injury, The Year 10 Summer School Name will seek appropriate medical attention and inform the participant’s emergency contact.
Course Director and DSL Roger Reeves will be the first aider on site.
7. Fire or Evacuation procedures
In the unlikely event of a fire drill, students will be directed out of the building by Year 10 summer School staff towards the nearest exit and follow the North hertz College fire drill procedures.
8. Insurance
Participants are advised to obtain personal insurance covering health, travel, and personal belongings. The Year 10 Summer School is not liable for loss or damage to personal property.
9. Data Protection
Personal data collected during the application and participation in the Programme will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
Data will be used solely for Programme administration and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
10. Photography and Media
The Year 10 Summer School may take photographs or videos during the Programme for promotional purposes.
Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must inform The Year 10 Summer School Name in writing prior to the start of the Programme.
11. Liability
The Year 10 Summer School Name is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained during the Programme, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
