Will my child actually engage with this?
Due to the small, informal setting we hope your child will feel more relaxed. No unform, first name basis only and a relaxed atmosphere, where they are praised for the 'little steps' to success will hopefully change the way your child see learning. In our last summer school the students loved the experience and kept asking about when Saturday school was!
What will my child be missing if they don't attend?
Many pupils suffer from not understanding certain areas. Scared of not wanting to stand out or feel inadequate these fears go un heard. At The Year 10 Summer School, students have the opportunity to anonymously highlight these areas in the enrolment form and address these before starting in our fun and supportive sessions.
Is there a lot of work?
Is there homework?
We understand that students get a lot of homework and we are not about overloading students, quite the opposite. We would rather your child learns through high quality tuition than burning the midnight oil. Quality over quantity!
How do I know this course will suit my child?
Our course provides a personalised solution to any gaps of knowledge or higher aiming ambitions. Our enrolment form will identify these areas and we can then plan a bespoke lesson for each group based on their needs.
Is it value for money?
Online private tuition is far more expensive (£25 - £50 pr hr) and is often not delivered by non practicing subject specialist teachers, whilst other tutoring companies just provide 30min drop ins. We provide face to face, in depth and bespoke tutoring from £17.50 pr hr.
Will this make any difference to my child?
We only work on the areas that you need to most, in small groups with specialised staff, we work on building a new level of confidence. In our last summer school, students said they felt 90% more confident yr11.
