Your child will experience 2 hours of quality English and maths tuition each morning, with a quick 10 min brain break every hour.
The classes will be tailored to either higher or foundation tier in each subject.
Groups will be taught by an experienced subject specialist teacher that knows the curriculum and will tailor and differentiate lessons to suit your child.
Each class will have a maximum of only 10 pupils which benefit over 121 tuition due to group/pair work and class discussion.
Being able to learn peer to peer is research backed as highly effective, as it creates a low stakes creative learning environment, whilst 10 pupils per class is small enough for tailored and focussed personal help.
At The Year 10 Summer School we aim to develop students' confidence in the subject, with quality first rate teaching in a creative low stakes atmosphere. We also believe in the power the praise involved the small steps all pupils take on the road to success to boost their confidence.
We would advise that any children who have difficulties adapting to change and who sometimes struggle with new and different surroundings or people may find this difficult, due to the short times scales and change that is offered over summer school.

Rewards for Hard Work
As a reward for their weeks hard work, pupils are given a fun and exciting reward day, away from screens where they can socialise and physically engage with life!
